Tamy is an autodidact in her work, exploring herself the boundaries of art.

Article about Tamy's works:

“The nostalgia of childish spontaneity – an evocation of scribbling, earlier even than the invention of images by children – yet, on the other hand, sophisticated interest in the problem of “pure painting.”

That's the way E.H Gombrich defined the birth of Abstract Impressionism or Action Painting, of which Jackson Pollock is considered its pioneer.

The purely abstract variations created by Tamy are an expression of this adventure, this search for innocence, harmony and truth. What we refer to as “seeing” is always influenced by our beliefs or by our urge to recognize what we see.  Tamy’s works, without definable forms, motifs or finality, confuse this ingrained habit of rational thinking.  Beyond mere dreams and symbols; our imagination has to make a quantum shift, we have to set aside our familiar landmarks to rediscover her – and our – inner freedom.

Tamy surrenders herself to a natural impulse wherein her painting is a spontaneous expression, not the fruit of premeditation.  Through the use of material, color, texture, canvas and space, and behind the veil of appearance, she tries to reveal a different, perhaps superior, truth.  Her lines, strokes, colors, patches, dark areas, her playing with light… all of this confounds, yet organizes itself to produce a magical balance between independence, sensation and sheer skill.

Tamy is the consummate artist, each of her works another intimate part of her being.  Hers is an unremitting quest, projecting her energies and passions but also her fragilities.  She has the courage to let herself be guided by an impulsive assemblage of forms and shades, as if her art is creating itself under some law of its own, until she knows it is right, complete. Through each of her creations we are witness to an unplanned  journey, a revelation of her innermost self.
